WHAT IS IT?     - a teeny weeny itty bitty midi sequencer available for FREE !!!



This is a little MIDI sequencer named "Ditty".
   (Get it?  Midi?  Ditty?  Itty Bitty?  Ok, Nevermind!  Sheesh!)

   A sequencer is a program that:
    - listens to midi keyboards and controllers for note and control messages
    - loads midi files and -sequences- their notes with the live playing you do
    - plays the whole mess out to a set of midi synthesizers
    - shows the whole mess in a cool note/drum/controller display on screen
    - saves the whole mess into a midi song file for later

   Ditty is built SMALL:
    - SMALL .exe size
    - runs FAST   (built in C++ on Win32 API)
    - SIMPLE user interface built with minimalism in mind.

   There are lots of MIDI sequencers out there.
      I don't consider any of them well adjusted though.
      So I'm building one that IS!   Perhaps you have some ideas too?

REQUIREMENTS?

 - Windows PC

 - midi keyboard  (and assoc'd midi interface on your pc)
   or you can TRY to make do with pc keyboard note entry - but come ON...

 - midi synth
   Ditty is built to totally integrate with Creative Soundblaster Live/Audigy.
   They're high quality, CHEAP, zero latency "synth-on-a-card"s
